Privacy Policy — Conversion

Last updated: 4 August 2026

Conversion does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDK of any kind in the app.

What stays on your device

Conversion remembers the category and the two units you last converted between, so it opens where you left it. That is stored in the app's own preferences on your device. It never leaves the device, and it is removed when you delete the app.

Exchange rates are cached in the app's private storage so conversions keep working without a network connection. That cache holds published rates only — nothing about you, and nothing about what you converted.

The one network request

To convert currency, Conversion downloads published foreign exchange rates from open.er-api.com.

This request is anonymous. It carries no account, no identifier, no location, and nothing about the amounts or currencies you have entered — it simply asks for the current rate table, which is the same for everyone. Your conversions are calculated on your device from that table.

If you never open the Currency category, Conversion makes no network requests at all. Every other category works entirely offline.

Rates are published by ExchangeRate-API. When your device fetches them, that service receives the request the same way any website receives a visit. Their own privacy policy governs what they do with that: exchangerate-api.com/terms.

What Conversion never does

Children

Conversion is safe for all ages. Because it collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here and the date at the top will change.
